Casa Felipe - Accommodation
Casa Felipe, in Playa de Santiago, La Gomera, is a large three/four bedroomed house with spacious lounge and luxuriously fitted kitchen. This accommodation will comfortably sleep a large family or a group of friends (up to 6 people). Two bedrooms open out onto the balcony with stunning, uninterrupted views of the sea and mountains.
The house is the middle section of this building, ground and first floors - click here, or on the photo on the left, to see it highlighted.
It is situated in the Laguna area of the quiet old fishing village of Playa de Santiago, the only south-facing town on the small island of La Gomera. This gives it the best swimming and diving opportunities, as well as fantastic walking. The house is situated in a small street, close to all the village amenities and the beaches, and fronts onto a banana plantation. It is fortunate to be on one of the easier access roads (some areas are a challenging climb).

One of a group of four properties, it is beautifully furnished and is light, spacious, modern and luxuriously fitted throughout.
The ground floor has a large, open, combined lounge, dining and kitchen area, together with a cloakroom and auxiliary room to the rear. There is also a television with Home Cinema (DVD) and Hi-Fi.
The bathroom is fitted with a full-sized bath (rare in the Canaries) with shower, and is finished throughout in top quality tiles on floors and walls.
|
The kitchen is newly installed with a stunning stone worktop. It is fully fitted with oven, ceramic hob, and a large fridge/freezer. There are ample cupboards full of all the items you may need. The washing machine is located in the auxiliary room, with drying space here or on the balcony.
Upstairs there are three spacious bedrooms, two of which open onto the balcony. The double-room has a large wardrobe with drawers, the twin-room has a combined wardrobe and chest of drawers and the single room has a chest of drawers.
|
The balcony faces southwest giving superb views across the barranco (dry riverbed, except during periods of excessive rainfall - very rare), where bananas grow, to the sea (only a couple of minutes stroll away) and up the valley to the Garajonay peak.
The house has no other buildings in front, giving it a private, uninterrupted vista which can be enjoyed from the outdoor table and chairs. A delightful spot for meals, soaking up the sun, evening sunsets and stargazing.
